U notice a twitch in the shoulders, the clasping of hands, body language which shows the overall composure of the person, the face could hide it all
I would say if i prepare myself well then the ease and comfort in my skin will just flow out. My body language will be one of confidence and i will be receptive of others
The second one because he opens up with appreciation first then states the problem, also he considers brainstorming as a solution which is healthy for the team. Sure fire way for the team to be receptive and work sincerely to make up on sales dip and achieve targets next time around

Root of the problem is delay in getting feedback from Operations, consistent follow up, queries n discussions. Theres only one solution to this...in the meantime get ready with all the secondaries under my control, highlight issues to senior management n keep schedules handy and realistic n stick to a cutoff date

I would give a task to the person and give a week to complete and see results. Later the similar task i would give with a very short time schedule and check results.
Then i would compare and assess wrt priorities, removing certain activities, stress, change in daily routine schedules of the individual..
