As President of the Italian Academy of Biophilia (AIB), I lead initiatives that turn scientific research into practical strategies for healthier lifestyles, environments, and communities. As an Environmental Psychologist and Biophilic Design Expert, I work to restore the vital relationship between people and nature (Biophilia).

As a WELL Mind Concept Advisor for the International WELL Building Institute, I support mental health, stress reduction, and biophilic design strategies. Recognized by Fortune Italia as one of its "Most Powerful Women", I ground my work in scientific evidence and interdisciplinary collaboration.

In my TEDx talk "All We Need is Biophilia", I advocated for integrating nature into urban life, leading to the recognition of Verona as Italy’s first Biophilic City. I also serve as a juror and former recipient of the Biophilic Design Award (ILFI).

I recently co-published "Rebirth in the Green" (Rinascere nel Verde, Giunti 2025), co-authored with science journalist Elena Meli, offering scientific insight and practical tools to reconnect with nature. The book is currently available in Italian.

My research spans King’s College London, University College London, Imperial College London, and the National University of Singapore. I hold accreditations from the British and Australian Psychological Societies, and have lived and worked in the UK, US, Bali, and Singapore, visiting over 35 countries.

I’ve taught environmental psychology and biophilic design at institutions including Politecnico di Milano, IUAV Venice, Istituto Marangoni Dubai, and IE School of Architecture and Design, mentoring emerging professionals. I lead interdisciplinary projects and design tailored training for cities, universities, and companies.

I am also certified in animal-assisted interventions, exploring the therapeutic power of human–animal relationships in urban environments. My expertise includes neuropsychological testing, environmental psychology assessments, and data analysis to measure the effects of biophilic strategies.

I regularly contribute to media and speak internationally to inspire a shift in how we design, inhabit, and imagine the world – guided by the belief that "what is inside is also outside, and what is outside is also inside".
