This environment is not conducive to relationship building. The current culture is one of distrust where peers view each other as competition v/s a team working together towards a common goal of forwarding the company's growth. The strongest way in which an organization can motivate its employees is to spark Emotion. Step 1 would be for the organization to define its values, purpose, and vision that make an impact on the world and then get the employees to collectively be torchbearers. Purpose and possibility are the biggest motivators and assist in building a culture of collaboration v/s competition. Organizing No Agenda meal times, excursions, sports challenges could be some other ways in which employees can bond beyond work.
Internal relationship building cultivates an environment of trust and collective thinking which results in new ideas, strategies, and ways of doing things.
The person is unaware of his inabilities and hence may be living in a blind spot. He is more likely to miss opportunities and struggle with self doubt.
