- First of all to take a step back and control emotions. To bring the issue up first with Janine, in a diplomatic way and for transparency. Then address it with manager(s) to clarify the situation and find a way forward. Finally, to change his manners so that he balances commitment to his team with being clear about his own contributions.
- Usually by use of power - the next level up decides. I can work with this in mind and try to resolve conflict at a lower level and promote horisontal communication.
- I would base it on the other person's experience and use the method of asking what they advise others. People are often better at giving advice to others than following it themselves.
