Previosuly, I led AI modeling efforts for financial crimes and fraud detection at Wells Fargo in San Francisco. My research interests are in computational imaging (image enhancement, super-resolution, denoising, deblurring, reconstruction, camera parameter tuning), deep learning, generative AI, and applied mathematics (optimization, topology). I have led multiple federal-level and industry ML/imaging R&D, yielding significant impact for stakeholders. My work has won multiple global research awards. I have been responsible for technical + business communication with customers, my team, and upper leadership. I earned my PhD in electrical engineering (with a focus on Bayesian statistics and optimization) from Purdue University – West Lafayette, and my masters in number theoretic methods for public-key cryptography from the University of Windsor, Canada. I am a Senior Member of IEEE, an elected member of the IEEE Computational Imaging Technical Committee, and former Chairman of IEEE East Tennessee Section.
